World Tracker

World Tracker is an interactive web application created to track and visualize travels around the world through an immersive visual experience. The platform allows users to explore the Earth via both an interactive 3D globe and a flat map, offering dedicated cards for every country and territory with flags, geographic info, and cultural details.

Users can accurately mark all visited places, record periods lived abroad, and build a comprehensive timeline of their adventures. The platform automatically generates high-profile analytics: percentage of the world explored, continental breakdown, chronological travel history, and a clear overview of destinations left to discover.

The experience is elevated by rich gamification mechanics, featuring unlockable achievements and milestones as new countries are explored, alongside an interactive digital passport with customized stamps.

From an architectural standpoint, World Tracker embraces a Local-First philosophy: it works instantly offline in the browser without mandatory signup for maximum speed and privacy, while offering optional cloud synchronization via Google Sign-In.

Built in about 12 hours through an intensive 'vibecoding' session, World Tracker was born out of my passion for travel, geography, and experimenting with AI-assisted software engineering. Today it is a public project, freely accessible to everyone and open to feedback and suggestions for continuous growth.
